Terra Cotta Courtyards was inspired by our passion for gardening and the tranquillity and spirituality it provides.  Courtyard gardens in particular are places of refuge in which one can relax and escape the stresses of modern life.
Courtyards are an ancient tradition and date back five thousand years.  Courtyard gardening is an extension to the home, a place of beauty enhanced by uncomplicated layout.  A place in which to entertain and cultivate plants, revitalise the spirit and refresh the mind.

Courtyard gardens in many Mediterranean countries in particular; Italian, Spanish and Mexican gardens, create a relaxed atmosphere, a lifestyle of good living where family and friends gather to eat and enjoy good wine.

South Africa’s beautiful climate as well as many people choosing to live in town houses and cluster homes provides the perfect opportunity to create a beautiful courtyard garden optimally using limited spaces with terracotta planters, pergolas, creepers and plants typically found in Mediterranean style courtyard gardens.
We have a wonderful selection of terra cotta pots and plants including:
